Up to £2 off Shell vPower Petrol or Diesel

Up to £2 off 30 litres of shell V power petrol or v power diesel (twice per PC). This deal will appeal to people that have cars that prefer higher octane fuels.

go to yahoo uk, cars link and the drive smart tab (I couldn't put the URL in as I'm a new poster)

scroll down and look for the Shell promotion advert in the lower right hand column. It scrolls through several screens before it tells you how much you can save. If it is NOT £2 refresh your browser screen and check again. Eventually it will go to £2.

At that point click it.

It will ask you to install "coupon printer" (you can uninstall it afterwards from the start menu)

It will ask you if you're ready. Try to make sure you have selected a colour printer as a default. (Shell garages will accept black and white because the T&Cs don't say it has to be in colour but there is a greater risk to them it could be a photocopy)

It will send one to a printer. If your first one "doesn't print out" for whatever reason  you get one more attempt but a maxiumum of two attempts per PC. Each one is a unique number, so if you find your first one later by accident it is possible that both could be used (FOR SEPERATE VISITS. ;)

Now the T&Cs state you have to purchase at least 30 litres of V Power petrol or diesel. Normal variants are not included.

Only one voucher can be used per visit, so on 30 litres you will save 6p a litre. This brings it down to less than most supermarkets charge for super variants but usually 1 or 2p more than regular unleaded.

It is not in your interest to buy much more than 30 litres in one visit as you reduce the saving per litre and will find that with the premium Shell charge for V power over supermarkets super unleaded will mean you will not save any money. Shells average price per litre for V-Power over supermarket super unleaded is about 4p per litre.

The vouchers have an expiry date but I managed to print some more out recently (on another PC) which seem to last for nearly a month.

You cannot print more than 2 vouchers on any single PC. It records your PCs signature and then will prevent further attempts. Even if you try to uninstall and reinstall.

Enjoy

Just keeps saying voucher for £1.50 for me... Useful for wife, but no good for me, car only holds 32 litres, and haven't got the balls to let my tank run down low enough to fit 30 in ;)
  • This offer now appears to be on the shell website - click on consumers and there's a box for money off voucher.

Can't confirm how much it's worth as I use Chrome which is not supported, and IE will not allow cookies (I have tried to change but lowest setting for cookies is medium  )

I'm going to email them and ask them to post me a voucher as when I'm using chrome it says they can email the voucher or post it, but the email link does not work and nowhere to put in my address!

Thanks to all comp posters
  • Any idea how long this is on for? Got a long journey to do on boxing day and would come in useful.
  • Not sure Matt, I have just sent an email asking for the voucher to be posted. I would imagine that they would allow a longer expiration date...

I will keep you posted should I receive a response by email, and IF it arrives by post I'll let you know the expiration.

  • NB I have used two of these vouchers but find they are now no longer available on yahoo.

From the Shell UK homepage click on "Consumers" button. On that page you see a picture like a grey credit card.

Click on that and 1) install the coupon printing software 2) print your vouchers.

There is no choice as to the value of the vouchers, though the ones I printed are valid one month and both for £1 against 30 litres.

    hth! thanks to grinnders!
