A few SKY tv problems so I cancelled, any advice?

Most of it seems like a brilliant deal, been without service for 2 months since I got a house move in July, but since then have the same issue where I lose service for days at a time, so eventually end of August on the 4th Engineer visit I had a replacement box given to me.
This only sorted the issue for a few days since I went away on the 3rd of September and on the day of leaving I lost channels so contacted sky who told me they would send an engineer out when I came back, which was then cancelled as engineer was ill.
I have been really busy the last few weeks so unable to be in for an engineer visit but went to my bank account today to find they took out £87 so logged into MySky to see a confusing statement as it took payment for both September and October together and said there was about £20 in a late payment(which is another confusing matter) part of the subscription was that I was charged £9.75 for Sky HD but when my contract orignally ended I downgraded(Since I had it half price for a year) and said I no longer wanted Sky HD since my hd tv is broken and girl told me that she would give me the sky HD function free anyway just so I can use the SKY+ things like recording instead of cancelling Sky HD and enabling SKY+
The girl I spoke to on the phone sounded young and was very polite and said my entire subscription would be credited back to 3rd of September when I raised the issues and a /£10 goodwill gesture made onto the account.
However since I am moving and fed up with the problems(plus cant afford it TBH) I asked to cancel, got through to cancellation team who said I had to have to give 31 days notice which sounds fair however as I say I get no service so didnt see why I should pay for a service that I do not recieve! All I was told was that they would remove the HD sub for me but I still had to pay the £20.50 for the channels for the month!
I was wondering if I should complain as getting 2 months backdated subscription seems lucky to get it out of them so easily but saying that its not showing on account so worried they will be going back on their word or to count myself lucky and take the refund in a few weeks minus the £10.50(aka there being a £10 credit) and just count my blessings!

Ok now its silly, just been sent a bill for Novembers viewing and told it will be taken from my account on the 15th of this month!0

The way Sky's billing system works is if you change your package in any way a new billing period from that date comes into force so your next bill will show the previous subscriptions up to that date and then the next month in advance. Therefore it sometimes look as if you're paying 2 months in one bill but it does work itself out though.0

Well phoned them again and was told they couldnt find any record of the promised refund and I still have an active contract as it hasnt been cancelled!
So I sent an complaint email, waited 4 days to get a reply saying the £10 was my credit for the loss of viewing and my bill is correct and it will go up in January
I mean eh!? whats going on.0
