Where to buy individual breeze blocks or bricks?

No bus here, plus I'm disabled now.
I've just tried to join my local freecycle group. Not sure that it worked I still haven't got the activation email.*Make every day Caturday*0 -
Many years ago now, I was in a self build group.
Phoned up several brick manufacturers and asked for samples.
The poor postman delivered a number of packages with two bricks in each.

Are you sure Wickes won't deliver? I would have thought they'll deliver anything in store if you pay for it. I think the minimum delivery charge is something like £15 so it wouldn't be cheap but it would solve the problem!0

Any builders merchant will sell you a small number, I ran a martial arts club and we used small quanities regularly for demos. There are more than one kind of block, there is a very light cinder block which a taxi could easily handle in small quanities, if you went to the place you decide to buy, they have trolleys usually...call a cab from there, then the driver will usually help you with a small heavy item...maybe ring a taxi and ask first?
Personally I'd ring a merchant, explain your situation...and ask if they could drop you a few off next time they are delivering in your area...they can only refuse, but I think they would help a disabled lady from my experience they aren't ogres

But the ones I'm seeing on websites look like bricks only slimmer and longer.
Do the one's I want have a different name now?*Make every day Caturday*0 -

is there any development happing in the local area? If so then I'd ask the builders if they would add a couple of blocks to their next order or let you have a couple of the ones they already have.0

Just wanted to say thank you to everyone. You really spurred me on to phone around. I got some delivered for under 20 quid including the delivery.:) I didn't get the ones I wanted the old fashioned ones with the two big cavities. I got something called Thermalite. I hope it stands up to rain it seems very fragile. Anyway thanks again you really helped and my cat tree won't be sitting in a puddle now.:D*Make every day Caturday*0
