i was working when i got the first car. and massively NAIVE!
But now I feel stuck, as i need my car for Uni and family stuff, but as people have said I cant just sell up.
    AAARRRRGGGGHHHHH

but you can get out of this mess, your only stuck because your letting yourself be stuck, its get-out-of-able, just follow my destructions, granted it might be a bit of a kerfuffle, but its far better to have a little bit of inconvenince sorting this out then being tucked right up for the next god knows how many more months 48+ ???

If you want an easy life see what webuyanycar.com have to offer you. It wont be the going rate by any means, but it may get you out of this mess. Failing that private sale.

dont be a tuckee, be a tucker
No reliance should be placed on the above.

then I'll assume that doesn't pay it off

what the oustanding settlement figure, and we try another suggestion

you paid 6k retail last year and its worth £5100 'trade' now, it may be that private sale this is going to work.

I dont reackon your settlement figure must be too much different, although i might be wrong
No reliance should be placed on the above.

A qucik look on e bay at classified ad 2007 punto's and they range from 5-6k. Its not ideal but if you sold for 5.5k, you'd have had the use of the car for the time you've owned it (a year) for £1000 thats not really acceptable, but on the other hand many people loose alot more than that and if it gets you out of fiannce in my view its worth doing,
whats the exact spec/mileage/5dr or 3dr, engine size etc
No reliance should be placed on the above.
  • the op owes over £10 all in for the current fiat, webuyanycar offer £5100, they wont even pay this when the deals goes through, you would be lucky to get £4500 from them, so you then still have £3600 roughly still to find to pay back your finance company, with no car.

Id keep the Punto for a few years then try for a private sale - just my opinion !
Theres only two rules to remember
    1) Im always right
    2) See rule 1
  • I think the decision, at least for the time being, is to stick with what ive got and learn.

I rang Stoneacre today and told them where to go as far as a new car is concerned.
