Apple Time Capsule Died

Bought an Apple Time Capsule Feb 08, and it recently died. Contacted the retailer, they can't do anything. Have told them about the EU warranty law on electronic goods yet still nothing, now they are reading but ignoring my emails.
What can I do... I have even been into the shop in Derby and they said they can't do anything.
It wasn't a cheap thing and is suppose to protect your documents if your laptop dies. THought it would last for at least 5 years!

Write a letter to them and give them a week or two to respond. But mention the Sale of Goods act, there's no such thing as an "EU Warranty law".
They may request you get a technician's report to show that the fault is inherent and not caused by misuse.Squirrel! If I tell you who I work for, I'm not allowed to help you. If I don't say, then I can help you with questions and fixing products. Regardless, there's still no secret EU law.
