as i said we placed the bid before the bad feedback was posted - it only came up a few hrs before the auction ended. My main worry is that the person is not responding to emails but as it stands at the min even if i wanted to go ahead and pay by cheque i couldnt as i dint have her address so unless she makes contact i cant see how she can leave bad feedback. thansk for your helpThe quickest way for a parent to get a child's attention is to sit down and look comfortable. :eek:0

Under current rules any seller can leave feedback for their buyers even if the buyer was not at fault. However, if you have completed check out and the address is not shown you could try making a complaint to ebay about missing or invalid contact details as if you can get the seller suspended they can't leave you feedback.
Having said that a seller doesn't necessarily need their address on the invoice, although it is quite rare for them to set auctions up that way if they require cheque payments. The other suggestion would be to get the sellers details and give them a call, again if the phone number is invalid report them for that.
AS for the feedback question, the neg is really an added worry, buying from a 1 feedback seller who wants a cheque is enough to have put most other bidders off.

I you try to make several attempts to contact seller and he gives no response then you can with hold payment untill a positive response is recieved and notify ebay trough their relsolution centre that seller is refusing to commuinicate.
Please take a look at this link and proceed with caution.

i read that as £600 spent on immac! lol was gonna ask if your legs were extremely hairy.
i think i need another lay down. :rotfl:There's someone in my head, but it's not me0 -
As it cleary states what payment a seller accepts, why did you bid. You have already tarred the seller by assuming that they may not produce the goods when in fact the onus is on you to pay for the goods as per Ebays T and C's.
Having said all that having been ripped off by sellers and Paypal so I am very weary and would now advise you to wait for a response from the seller then open a dialogue with ebay. If you are in doubt don't pay and risk a strike against you for not paying much better than losing £600.00 pound, but hey don't split hairs over this

yes you are right COS - we shouldnt have bid - i suppose my partner just got a bit excited about getting a new toy. the truth is we are quite new to ebay and probably too naive to think we'd be ripped off so didnt really think about it. It wasnt until alarm bells rang when we read the neg feedback which as i said before didnt appear until the auction had ended. I was only asking for advice i didnt think i was spitting hairs!COS wrote:As it cleary states what payment a seller accepts, why did you bid.
