BT/Otelo.

I had major problems with BT trying to get a new line down to our house site, to a caravn so we could move into it. They mucked me about for moths & didn't connect me up until 3 months after I was supposed to move. They also disconnected my BB. It was an incredibly stressful time as our landlord wanted us out of his property, but I wasn't able to move until we had the land line. We waited in on numerous occasions & I spent about 100 hours on the phone to BT - in their call centres.
I was initially offered a bunch of flowers or a box of chocolates which I told them to stick.
Took the case to Otelo & I am being offered only a £100 which I think is a joke.

I am so angry, but OH says just accept it as this has gone on for over a year & has taken such a lot of time fighting. It seems so grossly unfair.
Any one got any thoughts as I am sickened.

Why couldn't you move until you had the landline? You could have used a mobile phone? Or tried someone else for telephone? Or just a PAYG mobile until the land line was sorted?
I agree with your OH. You got £100 which is better than nothing. Just let it go. Why draw out the stress even longer?

We don't get mobile reception here because of the mountains.

My mother is seriously ill several hundred miles away & we live very isolated, so the phone is really a necessecity. We are both self employed & the phone & email is the main contact point re work. We lost our dial up too. I had intended to sell loads of stuff on ebay pre move as we were moving into a caravn, but that couldn't happen so we hired a van & took the stuff to a charity warehouse 70 miles away. We were evn having to go down to the local exchange to try & catch engineers in as they were also in the dark about what on earth was going on.
