PPI Reclaim companies

I have started looking in to the possibility of reclaiming my PPI on a First Plus loan I took out in 2006. I've been approached by a claims company who got my details from a purchased database saying that they will do the claim for me at a cost of 25% of the final repayment. Clearly I'm not delighted about this but wanted it find out of anyone out there has used one of these companies - if so how did you find it?
Also, am I wasting my time using them in the first place? Having not reclaimed before I don't know how hard it will be to do.
Any help or guidance on how I can and should go about doing this would be great.

Hello and welcome.

This is becoming a common thing with these claims companies, but personally I would do this for yourself with the help from this site, where if successful, you will get to keep all your ppi refund, if you use a claims company a chunk of your winnings would be deducted from the amount.

Be careful of these claims companies, on the phone they may sound like they know this and know that, but its only because when you have taken out finance in the past its kept on data files.

Hi Do yourself a big favour too and come and join our site firstpluscomplaints we are all reclaiming off Firstplus site is up to nearly 800 now and thatsall we do fight that one company.
