No longer allowed re-claim legal costs defending speeding fine

This is what is currently being proposed, even if your are found innocent you will have to pay for your own legal costs to bring a defence against a speeding fine and points.

    If the goverment is worried about the costs, they should taken them out of the £40BN+ a year motorists pay in taxes and duties each year.

    ive signed it aswell.
    so this would make it almost pointless trying to defend yourself unless it meant lossing your licence.
    why does speeding get treated so much harsher than any other crime in this country?

    What? That makes no sense whatsoever. So, if a speeding fine is brought against me and for example their camera was incorrectly calibrated or whatever, and I had therefore done nothing wrong, I would have to spend my own money defending myself, even though I'd be not guilty? Makes me want to emigrate this kinda thing.
