Claiming Twice From Same Bank?

Hi, I have just successfully re-claimed £2000 for my partner who has a loan with Barclays, the loan account is still open and they have credited the account by this amount. However, she had a large loan taken out in April 2003 of around £18000 and had ppi on this. She no longer has the credit agreement as this is in the hands of her ex who's not the nicest person to put it politely, so cant get it back. She did settle the loan early in August 2005 and it originally was over 6 years.
We contacted Barclays and they have requested a letter and £5.00 to send a copy of the credit agreement. Can we still claim even though the loan was opened just over six years ago? Also, because she has just been paid £2000 for her current loan, will this affect her chances? It took just one letter and three weeks to get paid out. They did send a questionnaire to fill in, but a few days later another letter came stating that they would refund the ppi plus interest.

Any advice much appreciated :D

Andy

    Hi Andy

And yes give it a go, and with it being a bank as well, also I was successful in regards of another bank going back as far as 2001.

Keep at them is best, and if they do not resolve it your entitled to take it to the financial ombudsman service (FOS), for them to investigate this, they were governed by the GISC where the FSA taken over I expect anyway, so the FOS would be able to investigate, so go for it, good luck.
