When my Britannia Fixed Rate Regular Saver issue 1 matured last year, I tried to withdraw the whole balance in cash at the St Albans branch but was told that withdrawals are by cheque payable to the account holder only.
I am 99% certain that it will be the same with this current issue.
Also, I've held their variable rate Regular Saver account for a number of years and it has always been the case that cheque withdrawals are by cheque only payable to the account holder.0 -

Co-op bank do BACS transfer on bond maturities so I do wonder why Britannia do not
Full systems integration will take 3 yrs & cost several hundred million!
RBS/natwest, Lloyds/HBOS, Abbey/A&L/B&B still have separate systems tooEthical moneysaver0 -
Yes, the usual Regular Saver is cheque only, but because the one year fixed rate regular saver goes into a maturity account I think you can withdraw in cash - at least up to £500. I was allowed to withdraw partly in cash last year.0

Got the email. 24 hours notice to the branch and name and address identification required.0

You can withdraw up to £2,500 cash if you give the branch a couple of dsays notice - I think you were told incoreectly, because i withdrew my Issue 1 in cash from St. Albans!0 -
See my note above. 24 hours notice; full amount of RS (£3K + interest); evidence of name, evedence of address.0

I see their new one year fixed bond pays 3.25%.
You can get instant access account's paying more than that and you don't have to put up with payment by cheque!
Bye Bye Britannia!0
