Hi
I took a loan out in 2006 from from SPPL, the loan was sourced via a broker called HELP Marketing LTD, Conavon Court, Blackfriars Street, M3 9LE.
I have written to SPPL (Now Capstonr mortgage services) and they have advised me that I need to make my claim against the broker, even though my signed credit agreement is with SPPL. Is this information correct?
I have tried to find HELP Marketing ltd on the internet but have not come up with any thing and the telephone number i have for them is dead. Can anyone help please?

Hello and welcome.;)
Yes its those who sold and arranged the finance responsible for the mis selling. So they are correct in stating to write to the broker that sold you this policy.
The agreements are automatically the lender's.
I would if you can contact the lender back and ask if they can supply you with the address details of the broker as you need to write to them, if I find the addres I will post this up for you.
I would send a copy of the letter you sent the lender, if you still have this and also a copy of the lender's letter, so the broker are aware it have been confirmed that you must write to them.
Hope this helps, good luck.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"

If the firm still has assets and is not wound up yet you complain to them. If it is without assets and wound up then you are looking at putting the complaint to the FSCS.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). Your welcome.
It seems that the business are no longer active, with the post that Dunstonh have posted above, so give the Financial compensation Scheme (FSCS) a ring and ask if they are listed with them, it will save you writing a complaint letter, where the FSCS if the business are listed with them, will arrange to send you out a claim form.
FSCS here:

Maybe do this first before anything else.
Good luck and your welcome.
(Thanks for posting that up Dunstonh).:T;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"
