The Bed Factory, Glasgow

After reading some of the horror stories regarding beds from the large chains I decided to go back to the place I bought my previous bed from.

15 years ago I bought a new bed from the Bed Factory in Glasgow. It wasn't the cheapest bed around but it was superbly comfortable. When my mattress not unsaurprisingly started to sag I decoded to get one from Dreams, I won't go into the details but it was an unmitigated disaster for someone like me who has had recent spinal surgery.

We bit the bullet and decided that we needed the extra storage as well as another matress and we went back to the bed factory, it doesn't have a big fancy showroom and isn't in the smartest part of town but what you get are beds that are made on the premises, fantastic customer service where they deliver (even upstairs) and take away the old bed. Since the beds are made there, the scope for customising them is great. We settled for a 6' x 6'6" bed with drawers at the top half and the bottom half raises up in ottoman style.

I would reccomend this company to anyone in the area. It is a family run business and if this bed lasts as long as the last then I will be delighted. Our old base was still immaculate and really didn't need to be changed but I coudn't resist the storage options since at the moment I am really short on storage space.
