Hi - I booked a parking through purple parking in the carminder car park in manchester. But i missed a flight because of the delay in transporting me to the airport ( apparantly there are two carminder car parks - east and west, but no sign boards to say which is which, and i ended up parking and waiting in the wrong car park, for 45 minutes, before they told me i had to park in the other one).
I took another flight that day, but bcp are saying it is not their fault and that i should have known which car park to park in and that i did not give myself enough time ( arrived in car park at 515 hrs and my flight was at 0645hrs to prague).
do i have a case to take legal action? they have refused compensation.
Any advise please.

What time did you have to check in for your flight? Were the two car parks quite a distance apart?
I think its a tricky one this as they had two car parks and they may have expected you to know where abouts the one was that you were after! However its worth getting in touch with them again and saying that it wasnt made clear to you that there was an east side and west side?Weight Loss - 102lb0 -
If you look on their website it only mentions one carminder car park and that is carminder 2, Is that the one you booked and paid for and is that the one you turned up at?
I personally would have arrived at the car park earlier than you did.
If you parked at a car park other than carminder 2 in the first instance i dont think you have a case0 -
there are two carminder2 car parks - east and west. I was needed to checkin atleat 1/2 hour prior to departure, and i had only hand baggage.
I parked in carminder2 east. My booking did say carminder2 west car park. But i never knew there were two car parks, and the when i entered the street, i saw a board saying carminder2 car park. It did not say east or west. I showed the booking at the entrance and the guy opened the barriers for me.
They argue saying that the booking says carminder2 west and that i had to report to reception there.
My argument is - how do i know which is west and east car park when they only display a board saying carmider 2 car park, and secondly how do i know what the reception at the car park looks like. I showed the booking at the entrance and the guy opened the barriers, so i obvously thought that i was in the right car park. It was only later when the bus shuttle driver told me that i realised that i was in the wrong car park. And then i had to move my car to the other car park or they would not transport me to the airport0 -
1/2 is the last check in sorry but no one should leave it that late I dont think you stand a chance sorry but you should have left more time if you hadnt used it before..sorryIf you look anything like your passport photo....Your too ill to travel0

As you knew you wanted carminder2 west, it would not have been
unreasonable to assume that there would have been other carminder2s-east
north. south or just carminder2 for example.
So I think as it didn't say it was west, then there is a case that you should have asked.
That being said, if ½ hour was the latest check in time [which I am not sure
about], then to arrive an hour earlier than that should have been sufficient.
On top of that, the guy should not have let you enter if he saw your
papers saying west carpark.
However if you did not check in at the reception desk as requested [and
so spotting the mistake early enough for you to still catch your plane ] then
I can't see you have a claim.0
