Hi, i just thought its worth mentioning. i recently tried unsuccessfully to re activate windows xp. their 0800 number has been on the blink for weeks and weeks, and their 0870 number was permanently engaged.
Thought Id try the Americam option. Using 18866 it worked like a dream, got through immediately and re activated with no trouble, apart from having to repeat once or twice because of the accent!!
Wish id thought of this before!!! so much cheaper than 0870 every time!

I have gained from advice as well as bargains here, so if I can help in any way, I am only too pleased to do so and appreciate your thanks.

If this works then it's a good idea...... ;D You should post it in the Techie board as this is where it will be most useful ;D0

I frequently use 1899 and/or 18866 to call various software and hardware tech support numbers in the US, particularly when I can't find a cheaper alternative on 'Say No To 0870.'
