Monthly Billing

Hi,
Can anyone give a list (or where I can find one) of electric and gas suppliers that provide a service that allow billing on a monthly basis?
It doesn't really matter if it is web-based, direct debit, dual fuel etc, as long they allow monthly meter readings and then accurate monthly billing.
I would prefer not to be tied into a long contract and a supplier that would be cheaper should I leave the house empty for a while.
Oh, and definetly not E.ON (long story)
Thanks in advance for any replies.

Not sure about who offers this facility? But you can take meter readings on a monthly basis if you wish and work out how much this would cost easily enough (if you know the unit prices of both the gas and electric - admittedly gas is a bit more difficult to calculate than electric). You could pay by payment card in a Paypoint outlet and then pay each month on the card. Think you can pay by this method with just about any supplier. I would have thought most companies would allow internet payments as well on a monthly basis. maybe you could search websites by entering some utility company names on Google?0
