Overseas PPI

I got a barclaycard nearl twenty years ago but moved to live in Ireland in 2000. Never really questioned the PPi every month till I was looking at the barclaycard website for another reason, and noticed that the terms and conditions for PPi state that it is only available if you live in the UK. Does this mean that I can claim the payments back for the last ten years as it comes to nearly £3000.
Barclaycard knew of my move but still kept on taking he money.

Any thoughts before I contact them.
Forwarned is forarmed afterall

Thanks in advanced

  • No in my opinion.
Barclaycard would have sent you the terms and conditions of the PPI and it would have been up to you to cancel the policy if it was no longer applicable.

If you had car insurance and you sold the car would you carry on paying the premium or would YOU cancel the policy?

    Same principle here.
