Railway carpark

Are these the same as PPC toilet paper or do the bye-laws and BT police give them legal standing [ie same as council]???

Some are genuine tickets and some are not. It depends whether or not the company is employed by the rail company to act under the railway byelaws. We'd need to see the ticket.

The clue is in where the appeal lies. With railway byelaws, it's through the Magistrates Court.

However, a number of companies - NCP and Meteor, to name just a couple - fraudulently refer to byelaws in their tickets, but say they will pursue the matter through the civil courts (the big giveaway).

Some light reading about railway 'bye-law' parking tickets (real ones and fake ones) from the forums at Pepipoo.com:

NCP and Meteor's are fraudulent crap.

Legitimate ones generally come from a railway company, not a private parking company.

So does "county" court mean civil? and mean it can be ignored?

The company was apcoa and they have the reg wrong.

If they've got the number wrong its unlikely they'll find you anyway, if they do just IGNORE them. :D
I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.

    Yep,

Civil - County Court [part of which is Small Claims Track [<£5k]]

Criminal - Magistrates [not judges, max 6 months in prison iirc]], after that Crown Court

    Thanks BFG.
Have told my colleague to ignore the ticket.
I hope they won't even get hassle as the number is wrong, although someone else may get hassle about it.
