Hi if anyone can help I would be very gratefull.
I am having a new carpet fitted soon and have noticed one of my floorboards is broken and needs replacing, however the floorboard seems an odd size, it is about 6 and 5/8th inches wide, is this a standard measure?
if not is there any wood that can be used in place of a floorboard, so could I go into b&q and ask them to cut me a piece of ....... 6 feet long and 6 and 5/8th inches wide? which type of wood would I need?
thanks

Well 5/8th" is 15.8mm and 6" is 150mm. Are these the accurate sizes or just an estimate? Wickes standard sizes are 121mm by 18mm so you may need to visit a local timber yard.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If a standard thickness board from your supplier is a little less than the thickness that you want. You can just pack up the the tops of the joists a little to make the top of the new board level with the existing floor.I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.0
