Hi all, I wonder if you can help me please. I bought this Hard Drive with 5.00 cash discount for working for the NHS and 5.00 cashback from Quidco, which I think is a great deal
The main reason for buying so much space is for my ever growing music collection which has taken up so much room on my PC. I have now moved all my music onto the external HD and have reset the link between iTunes and the music library, no problems there. I have now come across my first problem. My brother also likes to store music on my PC (but he has very different music tastes) so I set up another user on windows and installed iTunes on this and and when all the music was stored in the "Shared Music" folder I could link his iTunes with all the music. I hope that makes sense.
Now that I have put all my music on the External HD his iTunes says that I don't have enough privileges to link in my music files. Can I only share the music files if they are placed in the "Shared Music" folder which would mean putting it all back onto the PC.
What can I do to overcome this?
Any ideas?
Many thanks

You could try to change the location of the Shared Music folder to your new hard drive.
There's some info about who to do this here:

and a utility to do it here:
http://windowsxp.mvps.org/folderredirector.htm
I've no personal experience of this utility, it just turned up in a search - it does look like it will do the trick though!0 -
Saw this the other day but haven't tried it yet:
