hi ive ordered a 4gb ipod nano and was just wondering if the battery is replacable.
i bought it thinking i could replace it after a year when it dies. some have told me this is impossible and i'd have to send it to apple and pay a lot for them to do it.
but ive seen a few sites selling replacement batteries for an ipod nano.
here are the links..
http://www.mdsbattery.co.uk/shop/productprofile.asp?ProductGroupID=2017
and
http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=48938&&source=14&doy=search
hope some 1 can help

no you can do it yourself but you have to just remove the back cover and swap it, nothing difficult. Try ebay they have some pretty cheap ones there!:)Like what I said? click thanks!:rotfl: :rotfl:

ive tried ebay i think those are only for the other ipods.
i read that the ipod nano battery is soldered on and that the nano battery i one of the only 1s that cant be replaced.
but im not sure why maplin are selling it0 -
The battery leasd on the Nano is soldered to the logic board..
this could be replaced DIY if you know what you are doing, if not i wouldnt sugest doing it, as one drop of solder in the wrong place could lead to a dead nano..
link below show an open nano and battery and soldered leads
