Euro exchange

Hi all, my daughter is going to Germany with her football club on Thursday (25/05/06) and I was wondering if anybody could advise the best place for foreign exchange. Not really the rates but the NO Commission and buy back stuff.
Many thanks,
Elsie

the post office do commission free exchange. I don't think you'll need to do the buy back thing though, she's bound to spend it all!

You could try the Travelex website and marks & spencer also most travel agents offer no commission buy backs but they offer you !!!!!! rates so I tend to try and spend my money and not bring any back as i hate getting it excanged abck into sterling as they rip you off

I never really worry about buyback for foreign money, I try not to bring too much back and keep some for next time.
If you end up with a load maybe you could sell it to a friend about to go away, if you go with the post office rate you will both be happy.

I have always used Travelex (https://www.travelex.co.uk). Simple on-line menu and they always have the best rate. They provide the option of beating other quotes and refunding the difference but I have not found anywhere with a better rate. Currently the Sterling to Euro rate is 1.4191.

    Hope this helps

Read my thread, and you will find travelex isn't always the best (although, it is pretty good).
