Holiday review results

I always wondered why the holiday review on travel companies web sites were always so positive, then I tried to leave some negative feedback. Not abusive or judgemental just factual feedback and guess what its not included on some of the websites. I note that Thompsons for example reserve the right to "modify" or use extracts. Sounds like data manipulation to me. So be very careful on how you use the review data. Trip advisor and holidays uncovered okay but I would not now trust a travel company review data. Okay some people expect the earth and moan about the smallest things but what is the point in having the review data as anything negative is suppressed?

This might also be caused by the companies blackmailing and bribing customers to give them the best review possible so the reps can get their bonuses. Every Thompson holiday I've been on has finished with a long guilt tripping plea from the rep on the coach to the airport about how you really must give them positive feedback and how can you possibly critisice anything or not bother to review it, etc

It's caused me to really try hard to give natural un-influenced feedback, but I'm sure even this and anything negative will just be binned.

Anyone else had this experience?
