The prices jump up at the weekends. Basically if you want a particular hotel then probably best to book in advance. If you're really not bothered then just shop about for the best deals and when you find it, just book it.

Have a look here, it is a great chat forum and if you look in the deals section you may find some great deals posted.

I got the aladdin for $59 dollars a night from there last month.

You can book hotels direct and then cancel a day before without losing any money, if you find a better deal later on. But like the previous poster said be prepared to pay as weekend rates are expensive (compared to sun through thur)
  • Another trick in Las Vegas is to book direct with the hotel, but also to keep checking their rates periodically.

If the rates drop and the total cost of your stay would have been cheaper then phone them up and ask for the rates on your booking to be adjusted to the current ones. They will do this no problem.

I did this last year and saved $175 against the rates I originally booked at - enough to keep the slot machines fed for most of my visit!!

Also do a google search for 'Phil Feldman' who sometimes (not as often as he used to) posts up hotel deals and codes from one of the LA papers. Another site that can be useful is cheapo vegas. Last time we went we got a fantastic deal on 'The Imperial' (not one of the big fancy themed casinos but still very good and is centre strip.

Look out for 'buy one night get another free' deals.
