I am on a dmp for about 4 years, i recieved a statement from egg this morning which lays out what i am paying, the amount of original credit is 15k loan and 3k ppi, i cannot find my origial agreement, but at the time of taking out this and other loans i had a gambling problem and was borrowing money left right and centre from credit cards loans etc, obviously no one checked to see if i was a sensible borrower or they would have seen the pattern. basically, is it possible i have been mis sold ppi or the loans and is it worth me trying to claim, like i said i cannot find any original paperwork so dont know what the agreements were and i cant remember the way i was sold them. I was in full time employment at the time, i became self employed, about 4 years ago.
If i cant claim, fair enough, but obviously now i am self employed it is no longer valid but i am still paying premiums because it was paid for at the start of the loan in advance, i dont think if this had been explained to me properly at the time that i dont think i would have signed up or the ppi. If it is possible for me to claim what is my best avenue to go down, I hear lots of adverts on radio etc offering to do this for you.

    Hello there

It makes no difference if your on DMP, so give it a go.

If you still have the account numbers for this you can still write to them, where they may response by enclosing a copy of your agreement, otherwise you can try by requesting for this by writing a simple letter, request that they send your agreement by 12 days of them receiving your request, and enclose a £1 postal order or cheque payment for this.
    Post by recorded delivery.

For more info on reclaiming check the link below, this should help and check the mis selling checklist, you will also find template reclaiming ppi letters, and useful info.

When your ready and if you require any help, please post up, good luck.;)

    Hi,

I had success claiming my PPI from Egg. I just wrote using the templates and asking for it back. I didn't need the original loan agreement or anything. THey refunded the whole lot in about 6 weeks including interest. The sum paid off the last of my loan and they posted me a cheque for £900.
Good luck. -I'll be keeping my fingers crossed!
