Online purchase problems

On the 9th October I ordered some curtains from an internet based company.
On Wednesday 14th I received an email to say my order was being processed and I would receive another email when they were despatched.
I haven't heard any more despite their guarantee that orders would be delivered within 5 working days.
I am really desperate for these curtains and if there is going to be a delay I would rather cancel my order and buy them from a local shop, albeit at a much higher price.
However, I can't get hold of anyone! They don't reply to emails and all calls go through to an answer phone (no one calls back). Since then, I have read a couple of poor reviews on the internet about them and I now just want to cancel my order.
Does anyone know how I proceed with this? I can't get hold of them to cancel! I paid with my credit card, if that's any use.

They should publish an address on their website (never order from a site that doesn't) try writing them a formal letter of cancellation by recorded delivery and keeping a copy. If they don't respond to that (within 7 days) then you should contact your credit/debit card company and request a charge back.
In the mean time - go and buy curtains elsewhere and if they do arrive from this store then just return them.0 -
Are they being custom made for you because I don't think you can cancel if this is the case?0
