Well my 12 months is up and I am discharged today as is my wife yippee.I have a question though about rebuilding our credit. I looked at Capital one's site and it says you will not be accepted if you have been declared BR in the last 12 months.I was declared BR on 20th Oct 2008 and have ben discharged now so my question is: is it 12 months from 20th oct 2008 or should it be 12 months from my discharge date, sorry to sound stupid but I was just wondering.

Good question ~~~ Why not just give them a call???Stuart0 -
I would think its 12mnths from the date of bankruptcy....
have you looked at the credit file cleanup as well? something you could do in a month or so? too tidy your credit files..then look at rebuilding options..

Well done on getting through it.
I agree with Phil. Sort out your CRF first, you stand a better chance if things are in order.BSCno.87The only stupid question is an unasked oneLoving life as a Kernow Hippy0 -

Cap One won't give me a card; despite being BR Feb08.
Vanquis did though. And JD Williams group (catalogues; I have the Simply Be one) gave me a small limit too0 -
I struggled....but after cleaning up my files managed to get a full natwest account with a small overdraft and a BMI credit card again with a small limit (my request)
My OH had a similar thing with capital one...they refused her & her credit files are spotless! We all die. The goal isn't to live forever, the goal is to create something that will0 -
