I have just put 2 grand into a abbey cash isa at 4.6% int rate is this any good.advice needed as not brill with money.

My advice is:
Ask for advice before you make a decision, not after it.
I am certain there are better ISA rates available, mostly around the 5% mark, but they may have other restrictions you wouldn't like. Still, I'd have thought you could most certainly beat the Abbey rate.
Nevermind, at least you managed to get an ISA this year. Most others "not so brill with money" wouldn't even know what one was.0 -
And you could also have checked out the very best rates from the Saving section of the site before you jumped - do your own research.
Last time I looked [in very early April before i opened this years ISAs] best rates available were 5.2%, which for the 10 and a bit months means you'll lose about a tenner on your £2k.
