Recommend A Car Dealer

Hi,

Following 2 recent experiences with used car dealers, 1 Bad, 1 V.Good i thought it would be good if people could post their experiences of good dealers. It might come in handy for those looking for a used car that isn't going to come with all the hassles that can follow.

I'll start:

Bought an 03 plate Skoda Superb 1.8T recently. Before I would purchase the car I asked for the Timing Belt and water pump to be changed (at no added cost). Not only did he do this but car was given full 12 month MOT, service and valet (this is standard for him). He also stuck 6 months Road tax on car.
After purchase noticed very small oil drip onto exhaust (think caused during belt change) and one park assist sensor faulty.
Took car back within three days (counting weekend) and repaired with no hassle at all. he offered me a loan car for the day before i even asked.
Couldn't have been more helpful or courteous!!

Dealer - Village Car Sales in Crookham village, Hants.

Please remember this is to post good experiences based on your opinion!
(Another post is following the bad one).

    I have one.
1992 Golf Mk3 needed new timing belt. Main dealer wanted £250,local garage wanted £150. Took it to my own garage and did it for £25. Mechanic was excellent. I've known him all my life and he usually does a good job though he occasionally curses and moans:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Lots of people may disagree but I had a great experience with The Car Shop (Northhampton).

I wanted a Kia sorento and did 6 months research, looking, bidding and hagling before one came up at the car shop that was a bargain. They have a no-haggling policy which isn't good, but I found on this occasion that there was no need as it was by far the cheapest for its year and spec i had found. They gave me ages to collect and pay (they said they could wait up to 3 months) which was great. They take credit cards - which meant I paid on 3 different 0% cards. they told me everything that was wrong with it when they got it and gave me proof that the work had been done. They were also very friendly and professional and didnt hard sell the warrenty etc. Got a mechanic friend to check it and all work had been done to great standard. very pleased overall.

Toyota inchcape in Derby. Salesman Ian was superb, even if I did destroy his commission ;)

It is a good car, good to drive, comfy and I can lose the kids in the back!

The work he done pre purchase and the customer service after has made it even better! That's why I think he deserved a mention :j
