  • I don't shop at Greggs nowadys the stuff they sell is terrible.
    When they first started as Greggs of Gosforth in Newcastle way back in the late sixties/early seventies and were just a local bakery they were the best bakery around now it's just not worth bothering with.


    Their cheese and onion pasties are still the best though :T

    And the chilli steak slices they have at the moment are ace!!

    Greggs on the west road was first port of call for me on a saturday lunchtime when i went out to play :p

    Wey lad, i remembor the days when belgian buns weor as muckle as yor heed, and yee still got twa pence change from a farthin. The' weor dug by hand from the brussels pastry mines by weeny bairns whe couldn't wark up the chimneys due tuh pastry bloatin.

    Mmmmmm Greggs sausage rolls and pasties are a real guilty pleasure of mine. I know they probably contain more lard and mechanically reclaimed meat than actual food, but still they taste so nice on a cold day.

    just been down there for me slices and noticed they were doing soup and a sausage roll for £1.49.. thats me not eating for rest of the day;)
