Watch out for the Amazon Con

I saw XBOX 360 game for £24.95 on Amazon - went to buy it and they brought my attention to the Amazon credit card and said I could have it for £9.95 getting the £15 if I signed up to their card. As a money saver, couldn't resist. It took five days to process by which time the price had increased £15 to £38.95 so I am now getting it for £24.95.

I discovered this issue too. I wanted to buy loads and had some vouchers to use so an extra £15 would be a brilliant addition, however it only gives you the £15 once you make a transaction, therefore having to wait 'till the card is authorised/ready and you've made a purchase to activate the voucher, by which time the price of the products have changed (in my case some went down and some up)... annoying but I wouldn't call it a con.

I find amazon customer services really helpful- perhaps ask them if they would honour the original price?

Strange - I also signed up in mid purchase for the Amazon card- mine was approved immediately and the book was charged to the new card straightaway.
