Dear Sir or Madam,
Loan number: xxxxxxxxxxx
I purchased the above policy from you in December 2002 but now believe that I was mis-sold the Payment Protection insurance policy for the following reasons:
This is due to the fact that I was not given the correct information when the policy was sold to me, as
your salesperson implied that taking out the policy would assist my credit application.
your salesperson did not tell me that the policy was optional
you salesperson implied that I had to take out the insurance policy otherwise I wouldnt be allowed to take out the loan.
I am concerned the sales assistant that sold me the policy has no financial background and the policy was not sold in my best interests.
I have recently realised that I would of had Payment Proctection Cover on my loans that I paid off in 2004. I would never of agreed to this proctection as I was working for the Royal Navy, In that Job if I was taken ill I would still of got full pay. No one explained fully what this insurance was about and what it covered, I was only told that it needed to be added to the loan for the chance of the loan to be agreed.
Unless you can satisfactorily justify to me that the policy was fair and reasonable I am requesting a full refund of all premiums, and subsequent interest on these payments, that I have paid to date. As I believe I have been deprived of this money I also expect 8% statutory interest, the amount a court would award, to be added to each payment made.
I look forward to a full and prompt response to this letter and for the matter to be concluded within eight weeks or I shall be contacting the Financial Ombudsman to investigate my complaint.
Yours faithfully,
Also please could anyone give me an address to send a letter to please for PPI on a loan? Is the addy at the top of the letter any good?

I would say instead:
