how does it work

i have opened a bank account for the ist time in nationwide.... and its my ist ever account with any bank, i tottaly understand that my credit history is zero ,and they gave me simple cash card which they say they will upgrade it after 3 months , so how they will do credit check after 3 months, to upgrade my account , i dont think that they will up grade my account ,if things comes to credit check ...coz 3 months is nothing , this is totally not understandable.

I think in three months thay will make their decision based on how you had been managing your account during these months. So, just be careful... And, I think, the higher monthly credits, the higher your chances for upgrade.
Also you can try opening another account with some other bank/BS that offer basic acccounts with Solo or Visa Electron debit cards (Nationwide don't).
