iii and T D Waterhouse

Are these two companies connected? I used to be a member of iii. and used them for research. These days I buy shares through The Share Centre.

Interactive Investor seems very cheap for a self select ISA and buying shares (at least until next June). Does anyone here use them and find them good to deal with?

From the iii website: "The Interactive Investor Share Dealing Service is operated by Halifax Share Dealing Limited". TD Waterhouse is unconnected with Halifax as far as I'm aware.

As often happens I omitted to say that when I was reading the iii site there was a pop up for TD Waterhouse which I found confusing. I like to buy shares now and then and was looking to see opinions about National Grid as I am really cheesed off trying to find decent cash accounts.

There was a high dividend list of shares mentioned once on here but I can't remember who the broker was. It will be different now anyway.
