loan company no longer trading

I've tried to reclaim PPI , the FOS cannot help, the FLA cannot help. The problem is that the company that arranged the insurance are no longer trading,GE Money who we paid every month don't want to know. Has anyone any idea where to go next?

    Sorry to hear that, when did you take out the loan, (what year)?

    If they are listed with the Financial compensation scheme (FSCS) you can try to reclaim through these, for more on the FSCS here below and give them a call when you have the chance to ask if the business that are no longer trading are listed with them.

    Do not give up yet, there are many of us in the same situation and there may be other ways around this.

    GE money then I take it was the lender, so what is the name of the business that sold you the finance?

  • thanks for the words of support. I was about to give up. The loan was taken out in 2003 , repaid early in 2007. GE Money are saying they are not responsible , their broker Sterling Directors Ltd, is . Sterling Directors was dissolved this year.Do you have a template letter I could use to continue?

    If you contact the FSCS they will send you a claim form, so no template letter is required.
