Rear engine mount needs replacing

When my car (H reg Micra) had its service and MOT back in March, the garage (generally good and recommended to me) mentioned I might want to bring it back at some point as the rear engine mount needed replacing but they would have to order the part in etc.

I finally got round to ringing them about it and I'm just waiting for them to give me a quote, but I'm getting nervous that I might have left it a bit long, is it bad to keep driving the car around in the mean time? And will it be an expensive job?

If you have not diven it like a lunatic it shoul be OK.

Oh dear...I drive it very sensibly but the boyf has borrowed it a few times and he's not quite so sensible I don't think. Speeding away at the lights etc. At least he's not using it any more, as he's taken up cycling now the weather is better...
