Suggestion - Investigation into Pre-Paid credit cards?

Any chance of someone doing some journalistic research into the Pre-Paid credit cards??

Not all of us here (or those who recieve the tips I am sure), have average/good/great credit ratings, but still need to purchase online occasionally.

With so many different types of companies and cards out there (some detailing very little information about charges!) it would be great if there was a piece on it so we had some idea when to go for the best "not so ripped off" deal.

In theory, its a great idea - pre-paid, but no interest, nominal (ha!) charges and no credit check. But with the lack of info on these sites, I cannot even find out if it still has the same purchase protection as usual visa/mastercards.

Any plans for this???????????
