*WAVES AGAIN AT TF*
She has no mash if you read the fish pie thread-such a shame as they can tolerate that when they have an upset stomach
I think when they have a bad stomach they just want toast, weetabix, porridge(with water if they will eat it that way), mash etc. Then things like mash, breaded chicken pieces etc when they start to feel better.
If it is 24 hour bug then I'd not worry too much about missing their vitamins. However if it continues a few days, then I would take Caterina's advice and mash vegetables. Then gradually introduce things like mashed bannana and yoghurt as their stomach improves as dairy is very hard to digest. Thus sticking with the nurses advice to you.
If your little one(LO) will take soya or rice milk you could try cerals etc with that at first.
I think also it is probably best to try feed them little and often, rather than three big meals at once, when they have a bad stomach.
Often it is nice to have a treat when ill, so you could make some of 'twinks hobnobs' or some plain cake?0 -

If you read the OP the nurse said no dairy, this is why no medical advice should be given on MSE. You may not think you are giving medical advice but the best thing for the OP is to to ask the nurse what exactly they mean by bland food and for how long and how often they should continue doing this with their child.
MEDICAL ADVICE
Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this: Sorry, giving or asking for medical advice is not permitted on this forum as it’s not what this site is about. While discussing medical insurance policies, cheaper ways to see consultants, cashback for alternative health treatments and how to get specific medication cheaper (legally) are all perfectly acceptable we ask you specifically not to discuss what to do in the event of certain medical problems (please see this rule on the Health Board). If you have any questions about this policy please email abuse@moneysavingexpert.com.0 -
