Binatone cordless phone - keypad not responding

I have a Binatone Style 12 cordless phone. The LED displays Handset and shows it is fully charged and communicating with the base unit but the keypad is not responding. I have tried pressing down and holding the unlock key for 2 seconds - which is how you unlock the key pad (in case I locked it by accident) but that is not responding either. I have unplugged and plugged back in still no response. It rings in but when I press answer the keypad does not respond also I cannot make outgoing calls. Anyone got any suggestions?

Try removing the batteries for a few seconds. It may have got confused.

It had got confused. Although the LED was lit up, I think it must have thought it was off. By trial and error, I ended up holding down the "end call" key for two second to turn it off, and back on and that worked.
