Can I claim back PPI when on a DMP??

Hi there, I just wanted to ask if while I am on a DMP with CCCS can I make a claim against Egg, MBNA etc or are they likely to force me out of my DMP??
This is my big worry! Also I have a First Plus loan and was paying the insurance on it as we were told we had to. We took the loan out it 2002 and were told that after 5 claim free years we would be able to have over insurance premiums refunded either as a chq or directly off our account. Basically we had to ask for the chq due to circumstances. I asked for a resettlement figure as we are thinking of selling to release the equity in the house to help pay our debts and after 7 yrs of paying £437 and up to £563 with the interest rises we still owe £68471 less early settlement rebate of £13516 leaving £55104 on a £45000 loan??????? The monthly interest rate was 0.71% per mth to start and is now up to 11% per year!!!!
So, I just wanted to ask if anyone thinks I have a chance of reclaiming as with my DMP in place I really cant afford to risk that.
Any advise would be gratefully received!

    Hello and welcome.

And yes you can, it makes no difference whatsoever, so if mis sold, give it a go.
It may be the case that it will help towards the arrears, and anything remaining will be refunded to you, it varies from one bank to the other.

For more on reclaiming, check the link below with a checklist of mis selling reasons, and useful info, plus templates, if you require help from there, please let us know good luck.;)

Hi My DH is on a DMP and we have just recently claimed back the PPI on a few of the credit cards we have been sucessful with all and they have taken the money off of what we owe.

We also have a loan with first plus and are just about to start the claim against them. Good Luck.
