Need Help - Baliffs are coming

I've now been a member of this sit for over a year, and have took onboard many of martin's money tip ideas and put them into practice one was to cancel all my creadit cards and get myself a low interest loan, which I did nine months ago. This has been fine, and I've moved to a new area over six months ago. Last week i received a letter from the balliffs saying I owed £15 to CPP a creadit card protection company which was not cancelled at the time of my creadit cards. I contacted CPP who informed me that the protection was automatically renewed even though I didn't have any cards any more, This had been done seven months ago, and since I hadn't payed I now owe the balliffs £84. First can they renew a card I Cancelled with the credit card company (Texaco) without my knowledge, Secondly can I refute there claim, since I knew nothing about it and I cancelled the card with Texaco 8 months earlier....

Regards this is really stressing me out,
