Hello, I have just setup a pc for my girlfriend and now she wants the internet. For what she is going to be using the internet for there will be no need for broadband. What isp do you recommend for 56k, the cheaper the better really.
She doesnt mind paying a little extra for 24/7 free dialup but if free evening and weekend calls are cheaper she would take this option.
She also doesnt want a set amount of hours that she can use the internet a month.
I have searched an isp website and have found many priced ranging from £7 to £15 a month. Before i make my decision i would like to see what isp's you are with and are they realiable etc etc.
Thanks alot
Dean

I have used and recommended many ISPs over the past few years, it is such a crowded market that they cannot all survive, I am with Pipex broadband.
When friends ask about dial-up I recommend https://register.tesco.net/online not that it is a brilliant ISP, I'm still waiting for a reply from a support email from Feb 2004 but Tesco will not let it become too bad as they have an image to maintain. I think the service is run by NTL and just branded as Tesco.net
Friends that use it say it's not bad, they can alway connect in the evening plus you get Tesco Clubcard points.
If you want to try a cheapo ISP https://www.flexi-surf.co.uk do 60 hours for £5 a month, I've never used this but there are some good comments on the Forum at https://www.ispreview.co.uk, this also a good site to check out other ISPs.0 -
I think I would slash my wrists if I was on dial up now!
Take a look at the Talk Talk phone and broadband deal.0
