well, Evie is fed and now in bed for her lunchtime nap. I'm cooking pasta with salmon and maybe pesto (or thai curry paste) for my lunch. it's whatever sauce I have in the fridge... it could even be pasta, salmon and sweet chilli sauce!

OMFG:mad::mad::mad::mad: I've just had a communique from Halifax aka the robbin barstewards! They're no longer paying interest on my current account and if I use an authorised overdraft will charge £1 a day up to £2500, £2 a day for authorised overdrafts over £2500 and £5 a day for UNAUTHORISED OVERDRAFTS!!! I've no idea how many days between now and the end of my maternity leave (and the possibility of clearing my overdraft) but I think I'll be paying them £1 a day for the next blooming year! Just what I need when I'm skint!

move banks.....I realise it might be difficult with you being on SMP and such but surely they have to give you a bit more notice...

My Mum and Dad's fire has a remote control...it's a source of endless entertainment to the kids... :rotfl:

I've just painted one side of my bedroom door. Wasn't in the mood at all but it looks quite good - think I like painting woodwork more than walls!

Just remembered I was moving money around whilst under the influence of mulled wine at Bunny's. Better go and check I didn't do anything silly! :D

We could swap....I will do your walls and you do the paintwork, then
come and do the woodwork at mine...while I do the paintwork.

Kitchen is dismantled and the cause of the water problems have been traced to INSIDE my wall cavity!!!!! !!!!!!! things never run smoothly do they. I have to have my wall replastered........

    I am freezing and a tad stressed....

Bookie- had porridge and honey for brekkie, was just what I wanted.

Went up last night, got my pillows and fell asleep on the sofa. Really didn't want to be NEAR Pint last night, he doesn't pay attention anyway, didn't even notice I wasn't there in his alcohol-induced sleep (about 5 hours down the pub and the best part of a bottle of wine) He woke me at 7, said something about the note I'd left him, then left me there. Frosty text messages being sent, and supposedly he's going to talk to me tonight. Get the feeling I won't be there much longer if he carries on

I've already done the walls, but if you do my ironing, you have a deal! :D

Sorry about the hassles with the kitchen...home improvements never run smoothly. Try not to stress - is the water problem sorted out now? :grouphug:

The gorgeous doctor who looks a bit like House has just contacted me and said 'we should meet up'. Would love to except it never seems to happen. Still, he's a bit yummy so I'm flattered and smiley!

Appear to have chucked all the little bits of balances in my various accounts together and paid an extra £150 off my credit card...I always try to leave a buffer in each account, but to be honest there's only my 'spending' one that ever goes overdrawn, so I don't really need to. Maybe I should bank whilst drunk more often!

Oh and Mum and Dad are putting a new door on my bathroom for me as an anti-anniversary present! :rotfl: It was my 10th wedding anniversary a few weeks ago and they had budgetted for a present, but obviously one wasn't needed - so they are doing that intead!

If I go, I have nowhere to go. Am skint, still waiting on student loan and I can't do anything without it. It's not so much making me unhappy, just I have a choice to make, and it'll hurt me either way

    Afternoon all

    Chilllyyyyyyyyyy brrrrrr.

Elfen - Hope you get somewhere tonight - sounds like you're already mentally moving out and onwards though?

Snaggs - I'll give you my bank account details next time you're drunk - perhaps you can find some spare money for me. :D

Plumber's just been and fixed the loo.....dishwasher man due this afternoon to try, yet again, to fix it....I won't hold my breath.

DD2 has an opticians appointment after school so I need to go meet her bus and do the honours.

Been trying to work out the best course of action for our interim payment...I can either clear both overdrafts and 2 credit cards or one card that's just about to come off of 0%......I think we're leaning towards the former as it would free up a bit more each month.....arggghhhhh

I'd go with the overdraft and 2 cards, definately. That way, you can call up the company for one of the cards you've cleared and ask them if they'll do you a 0% b/t deal on the money on the card that's about to come off 0%. Tell them that if they won't, you'll close the account. It worked for me, I've got most of my debt at 0% now.
