Morning All

actually its not really that manic but the fact that I have to go to work today does make me feel a little manic...I am so born to stay at home being lazy!

Well B and I have been up since 6am, showered, dressed, had breakfast and waiting to go to school...think I am going to have to start putting the heating on as she comes into our bed and is freezing (probably because she has been out the covers). Its a grey old cold day here today and think I am going to drive to work today, first time for about 5 weeks.

Only 4 days at school this week then its half term :) and off to my sisters for some time, can't wait although the £5 I have for the remainder of the month is not going to go far :rotfl:

So whats everyone up to today?

    Morning Sally.
    I had a mjor worry session from 3am - thought they'd stopped - so a bit weary.

    Nice day here again.
Today I will waste my time applying for some more jobs that I can't do.
No Brownies tonight as half term here. :j
I do have a 'guidey' meeting tonight but she is coming here so I can conserve my petrol. Hope she doesn't expect heat!
Also going to scrape up the last pennies to order some coal.

Bookie...you still taking the tablets? Sorry to hear about the worry session...

Sally....you are hardly lazy at home, I think you go to work for a rest...:rotfl:

I am waiting for the builder to arrive...whilst I am looking forward to the end result I can see this week being one of great stress. I get stressed if anything out of the ordinary happens...plus money is going out faster than it is going in...more stress....BIL doesn't like the heat and I live in a hot house...(I admire you all for not putting the heating on but mine has been on for about 2 weeks) so I am going to be freezing all week cos he will have the doors open.

OH gone back to work though.....although I seem to have acquired another one for the week.

Morning all...was hoping that Sammy might be about but I guess she is still sleeping:rotfl: Anyway, I wanted her to know that I am back from warm and sunny Spain - I am now freezing cold:rolleyes:

Lots of work to do but no motivation to do it - guess first that I had better go and wash my hair and put some clothes on (my dressing gown is fluffy and warm and I don't want to take it off:rolleyes:)

    Morning everyone

Bookie, sorry about the worrying in the early hours. Would it help to have a notepad next to your bed so you can quickly note down what's bothering you? I do this and it helps a lot - stops me turning things over and over in my head. I just 'park' the thoughts in the notebook till the morning. I have such bad insomnia at the moment that if I didn't do that, I may as well not bother buying a new bed. :)

Good luck with the kitchen Sammy, have to admit that my heating has been on a few times. :o

Becky - ouch  is that from the insect bite?

    morning everyone

it's a bit wet and overcast here today. I feel a bit merh today and I don't know why:confused: ok, I have an inkling it will be something to do with working out exactly how much money we're haemorrhaging each month and then just how big the debt is likely to be after three months of SMP only coming in from me. Wayne isn't getting any overtime and isn't likely to until the end of November (for a couple of weeks), so it's just his basic wage coming in.

The good news is that this is a temporary thing but I can't help being a little bit apprehensive about it.:o

Snaggles, I wish I'd had a notepad on thursday night, I ended up in tears between 1.30 and 3am just turning over work issues and all because of a throwaway comment made when I met a friend for lunch the week before about support from the senior academic staff:o (or perceived lack of it:mad:) It HAS made me realise though that I need to talk this over with someone at work and soon if I want it resolved before i return.

    I just hate confrontation...

Yep - it took over a week to get infected though - weird...

Still sore but not too bad!

Oh no Cat :grouphug: poor you. You have a little while left on your maternity leave don't you? Why don't you tackle it this week so that even if it turns out to be awkward and uncomfortable, everything has time to settle down before you go back.

Can you put your initial concerns in writing if you find confrontation difficult?

Didn't you mention your trainers had rubbed it? Could that have introduced the infection?

Glad it's not as painful as it looks anyway!
