Just in the process of switching and haven't had the price per unit yet. Don't know why they said they'd tell me once the gas a/c is up and running. (Southern Electric.) I am absolutely useless at working with numbers and tried to do a search and came up with
http://energylinx.co.uk/gas_meter_conversion.html. Now this shows me the kwhs used but not roughly what the bill will be.
I've used 159 kwhs of gas (metric) from 27/9/09-18/10/09.
Can you give me a rough estimate what this will be? Thanks!
ETA: I came across some paperwork with 3.23p per unit and 14.03p standing daily charge if that helps.

159 * 3.23 = £5.14 + 22 days * 14.03 = £3.09 = £8.17 + vat = £9.58 assuming the figure you gave is kWh and not metric meter units.0

Thanks for that! I kept getting the decimal point in the wrong place! Yes the units I had calculated into kwh (I had used 14 units of gas).
I have just come across this website and it works it out for you!

It tells me so far I am using 7.5 kwh a day and even worked out the bill. Only a slight difference to what you worked it out to be Molerat (thank you though!) and says the bill so far is £8.27. I haven't put the central heating on yet, holding out as long as possible.0
