Egypt in March

Hi,

I am hoping to visit Egypt to celebrate my anniversary in March. Have been looking at Sharm / Red Sea, but there is so much choice I am confused. Would ideally like all inclusive close to the beach (preferably walking distance). Have been advised I should go near to Naarma Bay, although I am a bit worried that it may be a bit too lively for me??

Any recommendations would be welcome.

  • Hurghada - is another good place. Sharm is getting very touristy!

if u dont want it to lively then take a look at el gouna (near hurghada which is also getting quite touristy now)

el gouna is very quite and relaxed, we have been there in March and its really nice weather, u are near the beach and/or lagoons just about anywhere there

hi - I agree, el gouna is great!
  • Naama Bay is very buzzy - especially at night. We like to go there for the restaurants, shops and atmosphere but not stay there. I'd recommend Shark's Bay which is 15 mins along the coast from Naama Bay and about £5 in a taxi into Naama Bay - or many of the hotels have their own shuttle buses. You get the best of both worlds then.

    I'll triple that.

el gouna is a cracking destination.

Do they still have the half board 'dine around' set up where you can eat in a different hotel each night ?

most of the hotels offer dine around if u are AI, from memory its something like twice if u are there for a week and 4 if u are there for 2 weeks (i could be wrong sorry cant remember exact numbers)

also from memory i believe if u go up a star eg 5star from a 4star its something like 2LE extra which is a bargain... when we go next think we may try the steigenberger

I have booked a month in Sharm el Sheikh A1, but didn't know about the dining anywhere.

Will I be able to do that or not because I have already booked?

    Tks
