Amazon selling help!

Today I receevied this message

Hello Seller,i will like to puchase your item and i will like to pay you
through amazon. co. uk and give me the link of the item and the picture of
the item so that i can make the payment for you ontime mail me back asap
and give me the name that you use to sales on amazon place market


I have some questions, why doesn't he already know my trading name on amazon, hasn't he checked my item and found a link via there to my email. Does this seem suspect to any of you amazon sellers?

    Yes, it seems very suspicious. I've never received anything like that before but I remember somebody recently had a scam email when trying to sell a mobile phone on Amazon.

    It sounds like a Nigerian! You aren't selling a mobile phone by any chance are you? If you look at the last few pages of the Amazon sellers thread you'll see some posts from me in the past few weeks. I had a fake depatch note telling me to ship the goods aswell as loads of emails like the one you posted.
    Nevermind the dog, beware of the kids!

    I had one of these recently and pointed out all the details were in the listing and payment was through Amazon and they don't allow me to send overseas (mind you I do sell privately to many who enquire from overseas).

    This is a scam...and you will hear no more if you follow my guidelines.
