didnt manage to catch up thread tonight.
quick update from parents eve:
DS teacher now thinks there may be an issue, she reckons ASD as opposed to ADHD, I am not sure. Either way its mild. She is going to speak to the SENCO tomorrow and I guess we have a meeting at some point and decide what to do.
How did anyone on here get a diagnosis as our GP seems to be uncertain (lovely and supportive just not clued up on the logistics), am hoping SENCO will advise as to process.
I'm mostly pleased that she thinks there's an issue, its nice to get a bit of support instead of the usual "oh he's just a boy", "yes mine does that all the time", "he'll grow out of it" and if there is help or resources available I want to to take everything they can offer. And nice to know it wont all be a battle to get some help (at least as far as school concerned).
On the academic side he is doing fabulously well. In the top group for Numeracy and reading really well, making good progress in some areas of difficulty and has settled really well, which is a big issue for him. He was in the school achivements book (updated weekly with entried er class) for sewing - how sweet is that!!! Apparently he made a JosephsDreamcoat, and I never knew, he didnt say! Am very proud of him, he does struggle emotionally and he has been a star this term
DD1 parents eve went brilliantly well, she has been at school for 6 weeks and they describe her as a Free Reader which means - well, she can read. She is allowed to choose whatever books she wants and its a question of breadth of vocab. Her handwriting is well up there too. We are very proud of her too, the wee pet
DS was at Beavers during these sessions but we had to bring both the girls and they were so good, DD1 took DD2 offto look at Lego and books and they played so nicely you wouldnt have known they were there. I really was a proud Mummy all round (got big tears in my eyes now - gulp!!)
Right got to get some shut eye am absolutey wrecked. Roll on Friday (last day of term). Only 2 more early starts then 10 days off HURRAYJan GC: £202.65/£450 (as of 4-1-12)

Have done some catching up, not all, so if I miss anything important it's not intentional!
Toots don't keep quiet we need you!
Pigpen I don't know what to say that won't sound patronising, mushy or naggy. We all love you and I hope whatever you need to happen, happens for you.
Hugs for everyone, I've had a busy start to the week so haven't been able to keep up at all. Been out of the house from 10 til after 7 every day so far, it was 11 when I got home tonight (netball match, lost ugh). Been working hard on french presentation, and had all sorts of year abroad meetings, the general gist of which are if you don't have a good CV, you have no chance. So every spare minute has been spent writing that. Boyf feels neglected and I keep snapping coz I'm so exhausted, the housework is completely neglected, my dad is still very ill and not getting better, and I feel like screaming I just need some time to myself.
Flying wise I have done... nothing. No wait, I watered the cacti.Chifundo Uzuri Siochain"All that is gold does not glitter, not all those who wander are lost" - JRR Tolkien~~ Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, but love leaves a memory no one can steal ~
