Windows defender problems

in Techie Stuff
Switched on my pc this morning to find that windows defender wont start, I get the following error message:
application failed to initialize: 0x8007006
I havent done anything different that I know of, have searched the web but the answers to this problem seem to be either very complicated or basically there isnt an answer yet. Has anyone else had this? Should I just reinstall?

can you see if the Defender service is running ?
You Can do this buy : Control Pannel =>admin tools =>services => windows defender service . you will be able to see if its running or not.
if not try restarting it .If it doesn't fit, force it; if it breaks, it needed replacement anywaySarcasm helps keep you from telling people what you really think of them
