Applying for Virgin Credit Card

I understand that the Virgin credit card is issued by MBNA. Would the credit checks be the same as if I was applying for an MBNA card?

Completely the same lending criteria.No Longer works for MBNA as of August 2010 - redundancy money will be nice though.
